To completely prevent rusting, SMSC treatment is recommended (additional costs apply, and the delivery time will be extended by approximately 15 days). Unless under special environmental conditions, it is expected that rusting will not occur even after more than ten years. However, this is not an absolute guarantee. In addition, the overall hardness of the ring gear is approximately HRC 32 to 35. The operating principle of this type of gear differs from that of conventional gears, and it can be considered wear-free. It also does not produce cumulative error—this is the principle behind the cycloidal curve.
